THE POOR SCHOOL - AN INTRODUCTION

THE POOR SCHOOL

The school was created in 1986 in response to the need for a first class acting training which was financially within the reach of all or almost all.

The training lasts two years (six terms) and operates in the evenings and at weekends until the final two terms when daytime work is involved.

Entrance to the school is by audition and there is competition for places. To apply for the training beginning October 2008 complete the application form and email or post to the school.THE POOR SCHOOL

Most students are in their early twenties, but we have offered places to many older and, indeed, younger people. No-one should be discouraged from applying on the grounds of age.

Experience is an advantage in that it may help your performance at audition; we have offered many places to applicants with no experience.

Thirty-nine students are accepted each October.
