This is how to apply for an audition for the two year training. You may wish to apply for the Summer Courses or the intensive Four Day Course.

The Poor School holds auditions throughout the year. When we receive your application form we will notify you of your audition date.

You are asked to prepare (learn by heart) two dramatic speeches (i.e. from plays, not poems or prose) of between ninety seconds and two minutes each. One piece must be from Shakespeare. In preparing your audition you should choose pieces from plays you know and like. If you need help choosing your Shakespeare piece click here

In general, we are looking for evidence of ability that would benefit from a training.
